Welcome to another episode of The Internet Marketing Show made possible by the online automated article submission service SubmitYourArticle.Com

Things are really moving in the internet marketing world and I would love to hear your views on everything that’s changing. How do you think things will affect your online business?

It seems that 2009 is going to be remembered as a year of change and online business owners must move with the times and stay ahead of the curve.

In just 2 weeks Yahoo and Microsoft have struck a landmark deal, Twitter could be shaping up for pay per click, Google is testing a new search engine, Facebook acquires friend feed to roll out a real time search and Facebook is testing a “lite” version which looks suspiciously like Twitter.

What next? Who knows, but you can guarantee we’ll be here to keep you informed!

As always please feel free to leave your comments below.

Thanks for giving an overview over digital marketing trends.
  • Such a great internet marketing show.. The internet really has a significant role in making the world smaller and distances shorter. It has made possible trade and communication to be discussed and completed regardless of the countries of origin of the business parties.

/sigh another show over and 7 more days to wait for the next one... :v

fired into new google a load of common searches we get lots of hits for and searches we seldom see. All of the results were expected apart from one - new google returned a page on our site that was totally wrong based on a less common search we get, which although would get folks onto the site at least they would be in the wrong place, where as, on the old google it didnt even find any page (certainly not in first 5 results pages) - interesting to see that the page wasnt seo'd correctly but new google still managed to sort of find us

Am hoping new google will improve the webmaster tools to find these hidden mistakes in the seo too as when we look for the error on the current webmaster tools the problem isnt hightlighted (duplicate tags / description)

thanks for the better business blogging cd (my free trial) - was an excellent interview, which has tied in really well this this weeks TOTW, disqus - we're now trying to work through the whole bloggin strategy so we can add bloggin/commenting to our site - we have a comments module that we'd like to use but its extremely basic and this may just be a far better way of seeding comments and viral word of mouth...

    Love the twitface!!! LOL.

another great show. I have used those do it yourself website tools and they are restrictive plus I didnt have the control I wanted.

google's new search engine will be interesting!!! I hope Bing start to challenge a bit as google has it all its own way at mo.
  • Facebook is known for borrowing ideas liberally from their competition - like their inclusion of "likes," a feature first used by FriendFeed.

I imagine they're simply borrowing the microblogging model because it has become a standard in social media. They can't be bothering to steal Twitter traffic, as I'm sure most people on Twitter are already Facebook members as well. Besides, with the enormous lead in traffic FB has, why would they bother?

Facebook may be too late to compete with Twitter. They need to come up with something much better than Twitter if they are going to beat them copying will not be enough.
